Laser Lab

This immersive, hands-on program is designed for licensed medical professionals who want to master the fundamentals and advanced applications of laser technology in aesthetics. Over the course of two full weekends, participants will gain the knowledge, technical skills, and confidence to safely and effectively deliver a wide range of laser treatments in clinical practice.

1. Skin Anatomy, Conditions & Pigmentation

• Hair structure, growth cycles, and targeting for laser hair removal
• Skin disorders and common dermatologic conditions
• Understanding pigmentation, melanin distribution, and contraindications
• Identifying skin types at risk for adverse events

 

 

2. Laser & IPL Fundamentals

• Physics of light-based devices: IPL and diode lasers
• Wavelengths, pulse durations, and chromophores
• Fitzpatrick skin typing and risk assessment
• Safety protocols, protective measures, and regulatory standards

 

3. IPL Applications

• Treatment of acne, rosacea, and redness
• Photoaging, pigmentation irregularities, and sun damage
• Protocol selection, energy settings, and pulse strategies
• Pre- and post-treatment care for optimal outcomes

 

4. Diode Laser Hair Removal

• Principles of hair removal: goals, targets, and treatment planning
• Adjusting parameters for different skin and hair types
• Techniques for safe and effective hair reduction
• Managing patient expectations and follow-up

 

5. Advanced Considerations (Optional/Extended Modules – this can be for additional cost)

• Tattoo removal principles and safety considerations
• Fractional CO₂ and resurfacing lasers (for extended sessions)
• Combination therapies with IPL, laser, and skincare

 

6. Hands-On Training & Clinical Confidence

• Supervised, real-world practice on live models
• Treatment planning for various skin types and concerns
• Troubleshooting, managing complications, and optimizing results
